Would You Like to Know this Creator?

There are at least 70 verses in the Bible, and probably many more, about God’s creation.  That’s pretty significant.  It becomes clear as you read through them that God cares for His creation and intends for us to care for it too.

We see that God created the world (Genesis  1:1),  creation belongs to God (Psalm 24:1), God loves His creation (Genesis 1:25, Psalm 145:9),  God sustains and provides for creation (Psalm 104:27-28) and God will redeem all of creation (Colossians 1:20).

It is interesting then, to note that the Bible mentions the word LOVE more than 500 times.  The Bible teaches on many topics pertaining to how we should live on the earth, but the Bible is truly about God’s love.   It displays God’s unending faithfulness to his people despite their continued sins against him.  Ultimately, God shows his great love by sending his own son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to save us from our sins so we may be with him forever (John 3:16).

Some people have a hard time with the word sin.  To say people sin is just to say that we make mistakes, we do not always do what is right.  The Bible says that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).  God does not sin.  He always does what is right.  He is holy and perfect.  Our sin separates us from this holy and perfect God.

God is also loving and forgiving.  He loves us and does not want us to be separated from him for eternity.  So he sent Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross for us.   We can be forgiven for all of our sins and live eternally with God by believing that Jesus died for our sins and accepting God’s free gift of forgiveness in Jesus.    The Bible says that “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

If you love the earth and the animals that God made, we want you to know that God cares about what you care about.  God loves and cares for His creation and the animals and He instructs us to be merciful towards them (Proverbs 12:10).  We also want you to know that God loves you.  God wants to have a relationship with you.  God made you (Ephesians 2:10), you belong to God (Psalm 24:1), God loves you (John 3:16), God sustains and provides for you (Psalm 104:14), and God will redeem you (save you from the penalty of your sins, death) (Romans 10:9) if you let him.

God will not force you to put your faith in him, but he lovingly invites you.   You can give your life to Christ at any time and receive forgiveness and the promise of eternal life.   Just pray, talk to God, and ask him to forgive your sins and come into your heart.  God will change your life in amazing ways.  Get ready!

If you give your life to Christ for the first time, please tell someone.   Contact Shamar Ministry at shamarministry@gmail.com or South Hills Church Community at (702) 616-6700 or www.south-hills.org or find a church near you that teaches the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.  Get a Bible and read it, and get to know other Christians.  God promises that when you put your faith in Him you become part of His holy family (Ephesians 1:5) and you will be with him eternally (1 John 2:25).
